Largo da Graca is one of the central meeting points of Alfama district. Even though it’s located close to really attractive places its own attractiveness could be improved. Main meeting point areas are between the benches area and Tram lines, also at the café opened
into the plaza. Also the street containing lot of commerce and public facilities in it’s parter can be considered as a social place, especially if it is inside of a neighborohood. The conditions however in this case are little bit difficult considering the width of the pavement and parked cars partially on it.
The tram stop is nicely equipped for waiting and protected from eventual rain. If the waiting is longer passengers can also sit on the benches in higher lever of
the plaza accessible by 2 stairs. Depending on the historical value it could be considered to make a ramp insted of the 1 on staircaises better accessible to physically disabled people or bikes or parents with buggies.
The ideal place for a socialization purposes would most like be the central area currently occupied by a parking lot It posses a qualities such as a good solar exposition, central location accessible from all routes, nearby kindergarden and school, quality historical architectures of the surrounding buildings and lot of public facilities all around it.
